
David Silverberg is the founding editor of the premier monthly magazine of homeland security insight and analysis, Homeland Security Today, which launched in May 2004. He also oversees the Homeland Security Today website, www.HSToday.us and is a principal in the publishing firm, KMD Media LLC. He is the recipient of the first-ever “Journalism That Matters” award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). Homeland Security Today has won 13 ASBPE awards for editorial excellence since its launch and in 2010 won a National Gold award for its series “Savage Struggle on the Border.” Silverberg is author of the book Congress for Dummies, a comprehensive and accessible guide to the US Congress, part of the popular “Dummies” series of books. From 1999 to 2002 he served as managing editor of the weekly newspaper The Hill, covering Congress.
