Irvin Varkonyi, CSCP, PLog, is President of Supply Chain Operations Preparedness Education (SCOPE), www.scopedu.com, a firm offering training and consulting in organizational preparedness for private and public sector organizations.

Three decades of experience in air transportation and logistics are integrated into his classes for undergraduate and graduate students as well as his adult learners. He is a certified, experienced instructor in professional development instruction, with the Washington DC Metro APICS chapter. As an adjunct professor with American Public University’s School of Management he develops and teaches Global Logistics and Cargo Security Management classes. At George Mason University’s School of Public Policy, he regularly teaches a popular course in Transportation Security. Mr. Varkonyi also teaches Homeland Security to Transportation Security Administration’s airport in a joint venture with Northern Virginia Community College.
